-Tell us a little about yourself. (Name, school, program you’re studying, where you’re from.)

-What made you interested in interior design?

  • I became interested in interior design when I was young as I really enjoyed looking at different furniture pieces and putting rooms together with my mom. She has always had an interest for interior decorating, so I always enjoyed looking around stores with her. I always thought about pursuing my passion for design into a career, and when I came to college, I knew that this field was for me.

-Who are some of your design icons?

  • Joanna Gaines is a big design icon of mine because she made her style of design extremely popular, and so many people now are inspired by her work and use it to fuel their own designs. She is referenced so much in our classes, and I am always reminded of her when I see something that resembles her style.

-Describe your design aesthetic

  • I would describe my design aesthetic as a mixture of bohemian and Scandinavian design. I love the minimalism that Scandinavian design offers, but also think that the eclectic vibe of bohemian design can truly create a unique space.

-What do you do at Vivid Interiors?

  • I will be a design intern at Vivid Interiors for the spring 2021 semester. I will be sitting in on design meetings, helping with the FF&E selection, maintaining the store and customers, as well as helping out with their showroom in the High Point Furniture Market.

-What do you like best about interning at Vivid?

  • I like how similar my design style is to Vivid Interiors. I see myself in a lot of the designs and knew that I would enjoy interning here when I looked at their portfolio. I feel that I will learn a lot from working here this semester.

-Who are your favorite musicians?

  • My favorite musicians are Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, and Dominic Fike

-Favorite drink?

  • My favorite drink is lemonade

-What is your sign?

  • Aries

-If you could invite anyone to dinner (living or dead) who would it be?

  • My grandma

-What are your plans after graduation?

  • After graduation, I plan to work in North Carolina at a residential design firm and hopefully one day open my own!
