Intern Spotlight (Julianna Lester)

-Tell us a little about yourself. (Name, school, program you’re studying, where you’re from.)

My name is Julianna Lester, I’m a graduate from Appalachian State University, and I currently live in High Point, NC.

-What made you interested in interior design?

Both of my parents were very creative, and I think I got it from them. I feel like design is a holistic form of medicine, good design is healing and powerful. Being able to be creative while helping others is very rewarding.

-Who are some of your design icons?

I get a large majority of my design inspiration from Pinterest, traveling and visiting new places. I wouldn’t say there isn’t one designer that I hold higher than others.

-Describe your design aesthetic

It depends on the place I’m designing, I don’t like to stick to just one style/aesthetic. I like bringing old and new together. My go to design aesthetic is eccentric mixed with Paraisan.

-What do you do at Vivid Interiors?

I’m an intern, today is my first day and I’m very excited to learn.

-What do you like best about interning at Vivid?

-Who are your favorite musicians?

My all time favorite musician is Gavin Degraw, I also love Train, Matchbox 20, as far as new music I like country.

-Favorite drink?

I love water and I’m drinking it constantly, but for a more special occasion drink I love pina coladas.

-What is your sign?

I’m an aries.

-If you could invite anyone to dinner (living or dead) who would it be?

I would want to invite God to dinner, there is not a question that I have that he wouldn’t know, and it would be impossible for that dinner to not change me and my life.

-Tell us three words that describe you.

I’m hardworking, I never give up, and I’m caring.

-What are your plans after graduation?

I already graduated, but my plans/goals are to keep learning and growing, and to gain new skills.
